1990s Beauty and the Beast Figures Toy Review and Where to Find Them!

Hello fellow collector!

I want to show you my personal collection of Beauty and the Beast figures!

Believe it or not, this the first animated movie that I saw in a cinema so this is one of my favorite movies of all time and I wanted to have them on my toy collection.

It took me around 2 years to find/buy these figures.

This set is one of the few original Beauty and the Beast figures released in the 1990s for the movie animation.

Characters in the picture (Left to right):

• Gaston
• Phillipe (horse)
• Cogsworth  & Lumierre
• Beast
• Belle

Figure details:

• Material:PVC
• Size: 10CM

NOTE: Beauty and the Beast is a 1991 American animated musical romantic fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures.

They are also used as cake toppers because of the good material and relative small size but with good details.

The Beast's figure is a looks the same in the animated movie.

 The face of Belle is also close to the animation.

 Cogsworth and Lumierre is considered as one figure.

Philippe looks sturdy and strong and also looks the same as in the animation,

Gaston has the same body but face is a little off. Maybe it was really hard to get that pretty face in the 1990s toy factory?

This Belle figure in the yellow gown is the only one missing in my collection.

Mojacko, Mojaru and Mojari Toys

Mojacko is an anime that was shown in the late 1990s and a lot of people watched the series.

It’s a story of a family of aliens that are shaped like a ball that arrives on Earth and learns the planet’s way of lie. The main character is Mojacko with his sister Mojari and younger brother Mojaru.

I was able to watch this show as a kid and started collecting Mojacko toys and figures in 2013.

I created a video in my Youtube channel of all the Mojacko figures, plush and dolls I got to collect.

They are toys that I got second hand from collectors, and they are extremely hard to find since very few Mojacko toys are out there.

The are no new toys coming out for Mojacko but people that grew up in the 90s want to collect them because of how they enjoyed the show when they were young.

10 Must-Have Toys for Serious Shaider Collectors!

In my previous Shaider posts, I mentioned several toys you can collect to start your Shaider collection.

But today I am going to list down the 10-must-have toys for the serious Shaider Collectors.

If you are a Shaider fan and is a toy collector, these are the toys that needs to be in your collection.

I am not going to list down the price since it varies, but I am going to provide the rarity based on my personal experience.

I will update this post when I get new information on where to get the items below.

1. BLUE HAWK 
Rarity: 3 out of 5. The Shaider Blue Hawk figure often comes out of the market once or twice a year, but the figure is highly collected so it won't stay for sale for a long time.

2. VAVILOS DX
Rarity: 2 out of 5. The Vavilos DX is the best quality Vavilos toy you can get. It transforms to a ship, robot and gun just like in the show. It is more common to be available in the market than the Blue Hawk because it is pricier.

3. GODAIKIN VAVILOS ST
Rarity: 2 out of 5. The Vavilos ST version is smaller  than the Vavilos DX but is still comparable to the Vavilos in the Show. The figure has only 2 forms, ship and robot mode. The figure is also cheaper than the Vavilos DX.

If you just want to have a Vavilos in your collection, you can get this for less the price than the DX version.

4. SHAIAN TANK
Rarity: 5 out of 5. Since the Shaian tank was released last 1984, there are very few good condition and complete figures are out there. They rarely come out for sale even without the box, and I only saw 1 or 2 in the last four years. If it comes out, it is quickly get bought.

The Shaian Tank figure is 2 vehicles in 1, and is much cooler in my opinion than the Vavilos ship itself.

You can separate the plane that Annie flies, and Shaider rides in the tank.

5. SHAIDER by S.H. Figuarts
Rarity: 1 out of 5. The Shaider Figuarts figure has great metal detail and articulation. This figure is easily obtainable in the market since it was only released in 2012.

6. SHAIDER METAL HERO RANGER KEY
Rarity: 3 out of 5. This set of ranger keys was released in 2016, if you want the Shaider ranger key, you have to buy the set.

This is the Shaider Ranger Key approximately 4 inches in height with good details in the head and chest.

7. SHAIDER DIECAST POPY 1984
Rarity: 4 out of 5. This diecast figure rarely comes out of the market, maybe once a year, and sometimes stays long for sale since it is pricier.

It was made in the 1980s so it is hard to get a mint condition figure of this.

8. SHAIDER IN MASK HEAD COLLECTION
Rarity: 4 out of 5. The set set of 3 heads including Gavan, Sharivan and Shaider came out in 2010 and now very few is available in mint condition.

9. SHAIDER by Medicom
Rarity: 3 out of 5. This Shaider figure is released in 2013. So it is easier to obtain than the ones released in the 1980s.

The Shaider figure by medicom is approximately 1/6 in scale.

 This is the Shaider figure with Gavan and Sharivan.

10. ANNIE BY BANPRESTO
Rarity: 5 out of 5. The figure is part of the Banpresto set of figures and is the only Annie figure you can buy.

The Day I had Two Shaider Blue Hawks!

What is better than a Blue Hawk Bike figure?... TWO Blue Hawk Bike figures!

One day on July 2016, I was able to get two Shaider Blue Hawks.

Before I got rid of the other one, I had fun of taking pictures of them. I had only one Shaider figure so I removed it in the photos.

NOW LETS CHECK THE BLUE HAWKS!...

The top view of both Blue Hawks with both wings stretched is the coolest shot I took. They look like planes ready to fly.

The side and front view pose is not bad either as they look like more of Police bikes.

 The 3rd shot is more like they were parked after a long ride.

Shooting them like they were falling in line like police cars. The wings are not noticeable.

 Now I took a shot with wings closed to see the 'BLUHAWK' name on the wings.

It looks like they are ready to fly again.

I wanted to keep both, but I had to sell the other one to buy another toy. I really enjoyed taking these pictures.

But posing the Blue Hawk Figure with the Shaider figure makes it a lot cooler!

The figure comes-up for sale once or twice a year, and usually sells fast. So I suggest getting it as soon as you see it becomes available.

4 Shaider Figures You Can Get Today!

Do you want to start your Shaider Collection today?
I collected several Shaider figures over the years and I found the following to be the easiest to find. I am saying 'easy' since they come out of the market more often than the more expensive Shaider figures. But take note that a lot of Shaider fans buy them easily because of their cheaper prices.

1. SHAIDER GASHAPONS

I have two Shaider gashapon figures in my collection and they look cool when posed side-by-side.

These Shaider gashapon / gachapons figures are around 2 to 3 inches and very easy to display. They are one of the cheapest of any Shaider figures you can collect. 

However, since they are not expensive, more people tend to buy them. Which means more competition when hunting them.

Price: $5 to $15 each

The Shaider in Blue Hawk gashapon is one of the hardest figure to find. I am still looking for this gashapon. 

This is the other only Blue Hawk figure you can get in my Shaider Blue Hawk Toy Review.

I recommend getting these Shaider Gashapons here and add them to your collection. These pop-up often, and they sell out fast.

2. SHAIDER KEYCHAIN

Price: $5 to $20

I only found one variety of Shaider Keychain figure. The figure looks like a chibi version of Shaider.

I collect multiple figures of these Shaider keychain figures since they are cheap. They also look cute together when posed side-by-side.

3. SHAIDER BY BANPRESTO

There are a two types of Shaider figures by Banpresto.

This first variety of Banpresto Shaider figure is very heavy and the figure feels like it's made of metal.  The arms and legs of Shaider is very shiny. The figure has no articulation. 

Price: $25 to $40

The figure is more rare than the gashapon figures. The figure comes in box like this.

The 2nd Banpresto Shaider figure comes in a cardoard box. The figure includes Shaider's laser gun and laser sword. I am still looking for the 2nd figure. 

It looks like the figure has articulation and is pose-able.

Price: $30 to $40

Grab the Banpresto Shaider Figures here, but I suggest getting the 2nd variety first since it is much harder to find. 

4. SHAIDER BY BANDAI

Price: $10 to $20

The Bandai Shaider figure is around 7 inches. It has great blue colors and the arms are moveable.

The figure bends like a plastic doll . I was bending the arms and legs and I was impressed on how much "bendy" the figure is.

This Bandai Shaider figure is one if my favorites. It is large and much cheaper than the Banpresto. You can also give it to your little sister to play with like a doll and you won't be afraid she will break it since it is unbreakable.
